One person. One quiet conviction.
I'm Max — the founder, editor and writer behind every page on Vacanexus. The site is built from Luxembourg, with no investors, no team, and no PR agency. Every destination guide, hotel pick and journal article is hand-picked, written and verified by me.
Vacanexus exists because the travel internet has been on autopilot for too long. Booking sites send you to the same thirty places. Travel blogs are algorithmic noise. I started Vacanexus to build something quieter and more honest — a small, deliberate catalog of the world's most underrated places, with editorial judgement applied to every line.
Hand-picked, not scraped.
Every destination on Vacanexus is selected manually — never pulled from an algorithm. I read the source material, cross-reference local sources, and verify every concrete claim (a restaurant address, a hotel price, a transport detail) before it ships. AI assists with structure and first-draft generation; the curation, the editorial voice, and the verification are entirely mine.
I don't accept payment to feature destinations, hotels or restaurants. Vacanexus earns through affiliate partners (Booking.com, Skyscanner, GetYourGuide, Airalo, World Nomads) when you book — never by selling your data, and never by ranking based on commission.
If you spot something I got wrong, please tell me — hello@vacanexus.com. I read every email.
A few of my favourite guides.
I've written all 449 destination guides and 137 hotel guides on Vacanexus. A few I'm especially proud of:

for you.
Ten questions, two minutes. The matching engine is mine. The destinations are mine. The recommendations are honest.
